Rappahannock before Rinehart threw a 1-2 punch for the host foursome to tie it up.
Rinehart’s hot streak continued into the fifth chukker as he dumped in two more to make it 5-3 in a Blue-dominated period characterized by numerous beautiful long driving shots.
The visitors refused to back off, taking over the exciting final period. It took Bignoli until the middle of the chukker to narrow the gap to 5-4. The suspense grew until Georgie Greenhalgh, not having a particularly auspicious day, redeemed himself with the tying shot a minute and a half before the bell.
With only 30 seconds left, young Fannon got away to tap in the winning goal, leaving Rappahannock on top 6-5.
Rinehart led the scoring with his four points, while John Gulick and the injured Bill Fannon handled the umpiring.
