Sunday Christians
We should keep up a weekly prayer meeting; we should not leave all the work for our pastors to do, but with sorrow 1 fear there are many who do it. 1 fear we have too many Sunday Christians; they will appear very religious w hile at church and during the week we would think they were anything else but professors of religion; this is a stum- ] bling block to the world.
1 have often been told when conversing with friends on the subject of religion to look at such and such a brother; he will lie and cheat and take advantage of his neighbor. I know I am not guilty of that. Often 1 have been thrown in company with professors of religion and listened for hours to their conversation and never hear the subject of religion brought up. They will discuss politics and farming and the fashions of the day and
sometimes ridicule their neighbors, brethren and sisters in the church, and never find time to speak for God. 1 will leave this subject for the present and pray for brighter and better times.
