Flint Hill Carnival Coming
It’s carnival time at the Flint Hill Volunteer Fire Co.
The annual fund-raising carnival will be held at the carnival grounds next to the fire house Wednesday, August, 4 through Saturday, August 7.
Wednesday is special family night for kids of all ages, who may ride any and all rides for one low price, from 7 to 10 p.m.
As a special attraction Wednesday evening the beautiful Pepsi Cola hot air balloon will be on the grounds and there will be demonstrations on the lifting off and return of this balloon.
Thursday night, August 5, will see the big feature parade which begins at 6:30 p.m. The newly-crowned Miss Virginia, Beverly Cooke, a beautiful school teacher from Hanover County, will lead the parade along with the American Legion color guard from Culpeper. The parade will include at least three high school bands, majorette groups, floats, Shrine units, antique cars, and many, many fire and rescue units. If you expect to see it
