The Amissville Ruritan Club held its monthly meeting Wednesday, July 21, at the Amissville Baptist Church.
Guest speakers Francis Updike and Toni Jessup from the Rappahannock Electric Co-op. gave a presentation on the Co-op., along with a demonstration of the effort required to light four 60-watt bulbs by pedaling a bicyclerun alternator.
The Ruritans reported a very successful barbecue dinner on July 3. The door prize was won by Mary Lee Poe of Amissville.
