One of the primary underpinnings of Rappahannock's land use law, subdivision controls on 25acre lot developments, is under attack.
In a letter to Commonwealth's Attorney Douglas Baumgardner, Fairfax laywers representing Wiltshire Turner Ltd. question the legality of the subdivision ordinance requirement that internal roads serving a development of more than 12 25-acre lots be built to state specifications and accepted into the state highway system.
According to David Konick, county zoning administrator, Wiltshire Turner Ltd.'s representatives proposed several ordinance changes in their 2'/2 page letter to Baumgardner. He reported that the attorneys will seek either a complete exemption front subdivision
