Annie Hill

Rappahannock Native

Mrs. Annie B. Hill, age 106, of Culpeper, died December 16. 1982, at Oak Springs Nursing Home in Warrenton. A native of Rappahannock County, she was the daughter of the late Fannie and Buck Burrell. Her husband was the late Oscar Hill. She was a member of Nazareth Baptist Church at Boston. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Gladys Smith of Culpeper; three sons, Leroy Hill of Culpeper, Oscar D. Hill of New Jersey and Carroll Hill of Washington, D. C.; 19 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 15 greatgreat-grandchildren; three great-great-greatgrandchildren; 2 nephews and 2 nieces.

Funeral services were conducted at the W. C. Thompson’s Chapel in Culpeper on Monday by the Rev. W. A. Williams. Burial was in the family section of Nazareth Baptist Church cemetery.
