Board members Randall Updike and Nancy Reeve commended Connifey for his initiative in providing this opportunity for the uppergrade elementary school students. However, the activity raised several problems.
Board members wondered aloud if touch football could be available to more students if it were presented in an organized fashion as an intramural sport, or if it were sponsored by the Rappahannock Athletic Association.
"I'm willing to continue it just as I was doing." Connifey said.
"Would you at some time expect compensation?” Eastham asked.
"Well, I hadn't considered that." Connifey responded.
Board members, unanimous in their gratitude for Connifev’s efforts, directed him to discuss the matter with Elementary School Principal, Margaret Piper, and look into the possibility of either expanding the games into an intramural sport or having them take place under the
spices of the Rappahannock Athletic Association.
