Mrs. Erma Gilliam Carter, 71, of Culpeper died on Tuesday, December 14, 1982, at Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
A native of West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late William A. and Glenna EL Parker Gilliam. She was the widow of Claude Carter and mother of the late Claude Milton Carter. She was a member of Amissville Baptist Church.
Mrs. Carter ^survived by three grandchildren, Mrs. Pamela C. Hargrave, Mrs. Cindy C. Southard and Thomas D. Carter, all of Culpeper; one great-grandson and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Pertain of Miami, Fla. and Mrs. Myrtle Pritchett of Radiant.
Funeral services were conducted on Saturday at Amissville Baptist Church by the Rev. Joseph S. Stirman Jr. Burial was in the church cemetery.
