Officers

Installed

New officers were installed at the Amissville Ruritan Club’s meeting on Wednesday, December 15, in the Amissville Baptist Church.

Officers for 1983 are Lewis Jenkins, president; Wayne Kanaby, vice-president; Nelson Burns, secretary; Charlie Mills, treasurer. Directors are Harvey Poe, Charlie Priest and Boozie Dodson. Zone Governor Paul Mercer officiated at the ceremony.

The Ruritans are presently distributing food and fruit baskets and flowers to many households throughout the community.

The Club’s annual fruit cake sale is still in progress. The fruit cakes, Bensons three pound cakes for $6, are available from any Ruritan or at Barron’s Country Store in Viewtown.

Also at the Club’s December meeting, Paul Mercer and Butch Zindel reported on the district convention held in November in Charlottesville.
