The wedding of Carolyn Sue Racer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Carroll Racer, Jr. of Washington, to Kenneth Lee Eline. son of Mr. and Mrs. Landon Walker of Viewtown, took place at 2 o’clock Saturday, June 16 at the Washington Baptist Church.
The Rev. Steven N. Scoggin performed the double ring ceremony in a setting of candelabra and floral arrangements. Mrs. Bonnie Williams provided the wedding musk and Mrs. Nancy Scoggin sang the Wedding Song.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. She wore a formal length gown of white sheer polyester, with a modified Queen Anne neckline. Sequins and ribbon trim covered the lace bodice, the bishop sleeves had lace insets and deep lace cuffs. The slightly raised waistline ended in a full skirt with lace. The baby ruffled hem extended to form an elaborate chapel length train. Her head piece was a fingertip length veil with chantilly lace.
She carried a cascade of white sweetheart roses interspersed with daisies, miniature carnations, baby’s breath, and fern leaves.
Bonnie Lou Race of Washington was maid of honor for her sister, wearing a floor length light blue gown with a chiffon bodice that was tiered in front. She carried a bouquet of mixed flowers which consisted of pink carnations, daisies, yellow mums and baby’s breath.
Bridesmaids were Brenda Walker of Viewtown, sister of the groom, Mary Smoot of Washington, sister of the bride and Marsha Peyton of Washington.
