The youngsters are 13 to 15 years old and desire strong competition. Woodard says “they have their eyes open.”
The youngsters are in high school, play Vanity ball, and are more serious about their involvement. Their skills are better honed. Unlike the younger teams, Babe Ruthers have championship games and encourage team stars. In the little league there is no league championship. Every team is a winner.
On the last day of the season, there is a closing ceremony and picnic with hot dogs and sodas. At that point individual awards are given out for most valuable player and an all-star team
