I used to love baseball. When I was a child growing up in New York, my father rooted for the New York Giants. So I rooted for the New York Giants. We hated the Yankees and ignored the Dodgers.
The Giants left New York, and so did I. When they did, I lost my passion for baseball. After moving to Rappahannock I paid some attention to the world of baseball, but not what it was.
Since organized sports, through the schools, has been basically terminated for this summer, I’ve had to do some digging for my i page. Somebody mentioned Rappahannock Little League. I found out they played at the elementary school on Monday and Wednesday evenings. I brought a half roll of film and prepared to be mildly interested.
