as to a Celtics game, and if they screamed and jumped from their seats in excitement?

The plays of Ibsen and Chekhov introduced realism to the theatre-it is one of the newest theatrical mediums, although in its relatively short life it has dominated the stage.

Possibly in a search for lost passion, theatre is now seeking different forms which not coincidentally hark back to the alleged first play—“Equus,” performed with the audience seated on stage in a circle and the actors donning horses’ heads; “Cats,” staged in an alley (cave?) with animals portraying ourselves back to us.

The tie extends all the way to why, in the hills of Rappahannock, people care enough to work hard with limited space, limited resources and limited hands to create theatre—the tribe needs the place to sit around the campfire and talk about the hunt.
