Barbecue Benefit June 30
The 22nd annual Amissville Ruritan clubpitcooked barbecue will be held Saturday, June 30 at the Amissville fire hall from 5 to 8 p.m. Admission is adults, $6.00, children under 12, $3.00.
Auction Set For July 4
The 4th annual auction to benefit the operating fund of The Child Care and Learning Center, “Sursum Corda,” will be held on Wednesday, July 4, at the Washington Volunteer Fire Department building.
The Silent Auction begins at 2:00 p.m. and closes at 2:60 p.m. Several mini-live dosings will take place between 3:00 and 3:30 p.m. followed by the live auction at 3:30 p.m. All bidding will be over around 5:00 p.m. Emmett White will be the auctioneer. A 15-page catalog, describing auction items and bidding procedures may be ordered by calling the Center at 6753237.
Thrift Shop Sale
The Washington Ladies Auxiliary Thrift Shop will have a special sale beginning Monday, July 2 and continuing through Saturday, July 7 from 9 to 5 p.m. each day. Items included in the sale will be clothing for men, women and children as well as household merchandise.
Ladies To Meet
The Flint Hill Ladies Auxiliary will meet on Monday, July 2 at 7:30 p.m. at the fire hall. All members are urged to attend.
Masons To Meet
The Washington Masonic Lodge #78 will meet on Monday, July 2 at 8 p.m. at the Washington Baptist Church.
