To address the other possibilities, and pick up where I left off in 1833, I feel that the County of Rappahanzoning
our little stl hill commercially, and hence opening up the door to the numerous possibilities that no one ever dreamed of, and thereby undermining the very efforts being made at the time to zone, in the county’s best interest. We just took the official crayon, and colored it in on the map.
I have never been afraid of admitting my mistakes, and, at this time, I am of the opinion that in the county’s best interest we should have called our little ski hill a nonconforming use. This is what I see as the issue.
This parcel of land has been a mistake waiting to happen. I do not oppose or take issue with the group home. I oppose these three things we all know: Location, location and location. This development is in violation of everything I read in our comprehensive plan and the intentions of our zoning ordinance.
