Gary Smoot celebrated his birthday on Sunday and was given a dinner by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. O. Smoot at their home.

Keith Kinsey of Front Royal spent last week here with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Huff.

Mr. and Mrs. Larry Welch, - Krt.k Ethel Pullen and Mr. and Mrs. Steve Welch were among those from the area who attended the wedding of Lisa Alther to Charles Shipe in Front Royal on Saturday.

Mrs. Charlene Lynn, who had been visiting in Ireland and was enroute to Encino, Calif, was an overnight guest last Wednesday of her niece, Mrs. Walter J. Curtis and Mr. Curtis. W. J. Curtis and Robin Kress of Columbia, Md. spent the weekend in the Curtis home.

Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Gehring were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Moe Walker.

Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Lillard spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Bill Wade at Chantilly and also visited Mr. and Mrs. Ned Pierpoint and family at Alexandria.

Mrs. Robert Nethers spent Saturday evening with her daughter, Mrs. Bob Lewis at Huntly. Sunday visitors of Mrs. Nethers were Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Nethers, Mr. and Mrs. Ranny Aylor and Heather, Mrs. Bob Lewis, Karen Corder and Charles Corder, Jr. .

Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Pullen of Norfolk spent the weekend with Mrs., Ethel Pullen. They attended the wedding of Lisa Alther and Charles Shipe in Front Royal on Saturday.

Visiting in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Foster on Sunday were Brad Corbin and Jeff Corbin of Hart wood, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Corbin of Fredericksburg, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Foster and Mr. and Mrs. Gavor Foster. Mrs. Delores Corbin of Hartwood spent some time here last week with her parents, the Herbert Fosters.
