The Woman’s Society of Christian Service of the United Methodist Church met on Monday, June 18 at the home of Mro. Paul Miller with 16 members present. Mrs. Claude Cookof Culpeper spoke to the group about the history of the Methodist Church.

and Mrs. Roger Welch, Ryan and Courtney of Mt. Airy, Md. spent the weekend with their mother, Mrs. Roland Welch at her home, “Mountain View.” Also joining them during the weekend were Bill Welch of Oxford, N. C., Dale Welch and Mrs. Owen Sealock.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Moore and Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Sours of Gainesville, Ga. were Sunday visitors of Mrs. Mary Blaisdell.
Mr. and Mrs. Dabney Eastham and Miss Virginia Hughes attended graduation exercises at the University of Montana at Missoula, Montana on Sunday, June 14. The Eastham’s son, Dabney Hughes was among the graduates and received a BS degree in the School of Forestry with a major in Resource Conservation. While in Missoula they visited the farm auction and livestock yards. They also toured the Yellowstone National Park.
Michael Vest of Virginia Beach was an overnight guest last Wednesday of his mother, Mrs. Christine Vest.
