Callers during the week of Mrs. H. B. Winfrey and Mrs. Frank Brown were Mrs. Gordon Hilldrup of Spotsylvania and Mr. and Mrs. George Winfrey of Alexandria.

Patsy Vest and Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Vest were among those attending District Four Insurance Advisors annual picnic held at Lake Arrowhead near Luray on Friday.

The following social events occurred during the past week and weekend.

Mrs. Vallie Butler was a weekend guest of her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Joe N. Beard in Sperryville.

Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Vest accompanied by Lynn Atkins of Flint Hill were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Willis Butchyard and Valeria in Fredericksburg. On Saturday they attended the wedding of Theresa Butchyard to Matthew Bruce.

Mr. and Mrs. Rick Johnson and daughter, Julia Marie were hosts at a surprise birthday party for Raymond Johnson at their home, Breezy Hill, on Sunday evening.
