Youth Sunday was observed on Sunday, August 19 at the Amissville United Methodist Church. Those participating were Suzanne Parker, Robbie Settle, Kenny Glascock, Tammy Hodgson, Dennise Miller, Angie Clark, Tony Clark, Denise Cook, Mary Hancock, Chris Sosna, Faith Hodgson, Dwight Parker, and Melissa Miller. It was a job well done.
Get well wishes are sent to Thornton Semones, Gerty Poling and Phoebe Green all are patients in Fauquier Hospital, also to Roy Carter who has returned home.
Mrs. Frank McWhirt had as her luncheon guests on Tuesday, two of her previous co-workers, Mrs. William Murray of Arlington and Ms. MariAnne Monfils of Alexandria.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank McWhirt were in Fredericksburg on Wednesday for a dinner in honor of her birthday given by her daughter-in-law and son, Pamela and Walter McWhirt also her daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Michael Murphy. Later in the evening the McWhirts’ were overnight guests of the Murphys’ in Mine Run.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank McWhirt had as their dinner guests on Saturday, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Ellitt.
