Robert Estabrook, Rappahannock County superintendent of schools, has reason to hope this school year will be better than last.
For one thing, Rappahannock’s share of Virginia’s total school development budget is now three times last year’s amount—a jump from just under $100,000 in 1983-84 to over $300,000 this school year.
“The county simply rolled up its sleeves in large numbers and went after (additional funding),” Estabrook said. He added that county school board members, public school staff members and Rappahannock residents
