change clothes on stage and use that transformation with the singing to strengthen the shift from present to past and back again. The wobbly speaking accents could be distracting and too often individual speaking voices were hard to hear.
The third play, “Crows,” by E. P. Palmer, is about atmospheres, and the tensions that develop between people, but there is either too much material for this play’s structure to contain or not enough. Linda Weimstra’s sarcastic, hard-boiled waitress set against the sophisticated, edgy couple played by Stuart Eiland and Robin Rizzuti quickly outlined the mystery these people are to each other. Brian Ross’s engaging garage mechanic and floating scenic elements underlined the play’s ironies. .......

Gay Street Theatre is practically a technical wasteland and presents a,constant challenge to anyone staging a production there. The additional problems of three different plays in one evening must have been demanding for producer Tutt Stapp-Harris and the Players. Much of the technical execution by Michelene Hostetter and Steve Hostetter and all the backstage people was confident and clean. There were a
