I only saw one member of the Board of Supervisors present—Nelson Lane. You are to be commended, Mr. Lane, for attending. Shame on the others for not attending. They are ducking their responsibilities.
I reside in Jackson District. Mr. Richard latham is the supervisor that represents the Jackson District. I did not see you, Mr. Latham, at the meeting. If you were there and I did not see you, I apologize. If you were not present at a meeting as important as this one to the residents of Jackson District, where were you?
I am sure that when the voters of the Jackson District go to the polls next time you are up for reelection, you will be given the opportunity to ask, “Where are the voters that will reelect me?” You should certainly have been present for discussion on an ordinance that affects the residents of the Jackson District as much as this one.
The next time the Planning Commission has a public hearing, Mr. Latham, I expect to see you in attendance.
