was a Sunday visitor of Mrs. H.B. Winfrey and Mrs. Frank Brown.

The Woodville W.M.U. special week of prayer meeting was held at the church on Thursday evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Vest returned home on Sunday after a weeks vacation in Memphis, Tenn., where they visited Graceland, the Grand Old Opry in Nashville, Lynchburg, Tenn. and other places of interest. Mrs. Vallie Butler stayed with Patsy and Todd Vest, while their parents were away.

Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Brown of Front Royal and Mr. and Mrs. Roger Brown of Fort Meade, Maryland were Saturday afternoon guests of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Wayland.

On Sunday Pam Deal of Culpeper along with her cousin, Mrs. Chester Wayland were guests of Mr. and Mrs. McKinley Taylor in Luray. Hazel Deal returned home with them after a weekend visit with the Taylors.

On Tuesday the Rev. and Mrs. Ray Campbell of Falling Waters, West Virginia and Major and Mrs. Charles Grizzle of Fredericksburg were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Emory Conners.

Mr. and Mrs. Bill Templeton, Jr. of Greensburg, Pennsylvania were dinner guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Cifton Clark and Misty Hitt. Also joining them as evening guests were Mr. and Mrs. Collier Fox and Billy Fox of Luray, Mr. and Mrs. Warren Heisey and Mrs. Paul Kibler of Washington Boro, Pennsylvania.

Purnells Have Son

Jon and Robin Purnell of Washington are the parents of a son, Alexander Warner, bom on Saturday, March 2 at Culpeper Memorial Hospital. Alexander weighed eight pounds and ten ounces.

Grandparents of the infant are Mr. and Mrs. Paul Barker, Jr. of Hill, New Hampshire and Mr. and Mrs. Fredrick Purnell of Deerfield, Massachusetts.

Mrs. Paul Barker of New Hampshire is the great grandmother.

The Purnells have a daughter, Ruth, age 20 months.
