It was St. Lucia, one of the “Windward Islands,” located in the British West Indies, where Helen and Howard Holschuh recently spent two weeks on a mission trip. They were joined by another Castle ton couple, Lloyd and Betty Sims, and they all stayed in Vieux Fort, while tending to their various duties. Betty taught sewing classes to the people while Helen created informative, window displays at the Baptist Center. The men, Howard and Lloyd were busy redoing the missionaire’s (Jonathan and LaHoma Singleton) kitchen by building new cabinets and sink. This was the third mission trip for the Holschuhs and the most rewarding because of the opportunity to work with the people. The weather - well, sunny, breezy, 80 degrees, beautiful, etc. etc.
From St. Lucia, Helen and Howard Holschuh flew back to the states, where they met their daughter and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Parry and the two grandchildren, Jason, age 6 and Lorien, age 2 1/2, from North Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. They all had a marvelous 10 day vacation in St. Petersburg, Florida, where again, the weather was gorgeous, sunny and 81 degrees!
Waverly and Lillian Frazier were sure happy to have their daughter, Ellen Wharton of Culpeper over for dinner last Sunday. It was such a lovely day for visiting!
