Greensboro College in North Carolina and loves it! A week ago Monday, Pat and Debbie went to the various art galleries in Washington, D.C., so that Debbie could do some research for a college art paper. They had a great time studying the various paintings and artists, while Debbie was taking her notes. The art galleries down there are so impressive!

Last Sunday the Helmer family, Pat, Dick, Kim, Debbie, Gaby Ringleff (their adorable, German exchange student), a good friend from Slate Mills, David Evans, all went to Washington, D.C., for a fun-loving picnic at the L.B.J. Grove, which is located near the National Airport in the most, lovely setting. They also went to the Museum of American History and the Flag Raising on I wo Jima Memorial. Gaby was thrilled to see all the American sights. Imagine what she’ll tell all her friends back in Germany!!
