We the undersigned Rappehannock County teachers are underpaid. Our contribution to this county is immeasurable, yet our pay Is lower than the lowest state average In the United States. Investment In teachers Is an investment In the education of your children and the future of your community.
Teachers are not total altruists. We have families and dreams of financial security just as does every citizen.
Each year, to no avail, we diplomatically request a respectable, not excessive, standard of living. If this continues our only alternative is to pursue our futures elsewhere.
