Ruritan Meeting Scheduled

The Amissville Ruritan Club will meet on Wednesday, March 19 at 7:30 p.m. at the Amissville Baptist Church. All members and interested persons are urged to attend.

RCES Sock Hop

The SPTA is sponsoring a Sock Hop on Friday, March 15 at the Rappahannock County Elementary school gymnasium. The event is open to children from kindergarten through 7th grade. It begins at 7 p.m. and ends at 9 p.m., at which time a quilt will be given away. Admission is $1 per student or adult, up to a maximum of $5 per family. Parents are asked to bring baked goods and drinks to sell.

Prenatal Classes

Warren Memorial Hospital and the Warren County Cooperative Extension Service will be sponsoring prenatal classes on six consecutive Thursday evenings beginning March 21. Classes will begin at 7 p.m. and will be held in the confemece room at the hospital. Topics will include Changes During Pregnancy, Nutrition, Safety for Baby, Prepared Childbirth, What To Expect At the Hospital and Parenting. There is no charge for the classes. Jaycees Meeting

The Rappahannock Jaycees will hold a meeting on Thursday, March 14 at Brambles Cafe. Social hour will begin at 7:30 p.m., and the regular meeting will start at 8 p.m.

Fashion Show Brings Preview Of

Spring And Summer Collections

The Christian Women’s Club of Front Royal will host a fashion show at their Friday, March 15 luncheon which will be held at the American Legion Building, comer of ^th Street and Virginia Avenue from 12 noon to 2 p.m. Deadline for the registration for the luncheon will be Tuesday, March 12.

Joye-Maye’s Factory Outlet will present a selection of misses, junior, full figure, petite and maternity fashions. Models for the fashions are all Warren County ladies. For additional information call Karen Millen, 703-636-9945 or Janet Perdue at 636-6412.

Carribean Slide Show

A volunteer missionary support project on the Carribean Island of St. Lucia will be presented in slides and narrated by Lloyd and Betty Sims and Helen and Howdy Holschuh Thursday, March 14 at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church. Evening activities will begin with a covered dish supper at 7 p.m. followed by the slides at 8 p.m. in the new assembly room in Mt. Lebanon’s addition.

This will be the first event held in the new room. Neighbors are invited to the slide show and the dinner if they care to bring a dish. Mt. Lebanon is located on Route 522 south of Woodville.
