Land Use Tax Fair
To the editor:
Regarding land use tax rates, it is easy to realize that one family occupying 100 acres presents a small burden on the public fiscal situation as compared to twenty families on one hundred acres occupying five acre lots. One must ask why therefore should the landowner of one hundred acres pay the same rate per acre is the person who owns five acres? Obviously, the large landowner would be subsidizing many services for the small land owner.
