With all supervisors present at the June 12 meeting, the discussion continued. Lane, after having consulted with Fauquier planner Dick McNear, said the most important consideration was finding the “right candidate” for the job, someone loyal to the interests of Rappahannock County. Following McNear’s advice, Lane favored the idea of combining county and zoning administration.
Supervisor Estes was certain of the need for an administrator. “There’s no question that we need one. We only meet once a month and there’s a lot of correspondence in between - someone
