nephew of the bnde and Chad Reavis of Fort Lee, cousin of the groom.

Dr. Robert Lee Stokes, Sr., of Richmond, father of the groom and Roderick Stokes of Charlottesville, brother of the groom were best men.

Groomsmen were Captain Freddie Nicholas, Jr. of Marina, California, brother of the bride; Donald Pierce, Sr. of Richmond, uncle of the groom; Michael Fowlkes of Meherrin, cousin of the groom; John Reavis of Kenbridge, uncle of the groom; Dr. Raymond Smith of Charlottesville and Dr. Steven Brown of Annapolis, Maryland.

Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the Fort Lee Officers’ Club.

The bride is a graduate of the University of Virginia and is a teacher in Chesterfield County.

She is the granddaughter of Edward L. Jordan, formerly of Amissville and the late Mrs. Elmo Russell Jordan.

The groom is a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Education and its School of Medicine. He is currently a doctor in residence at Riverside Hospital in Newport News.

Prior to the wedding, the bride was honored on several occasions - on April 5 a shower was hosted by her coworkers; on April 14, a shower was given by Zana Metelski, Ora Nicholas and Lisa Nicholas at the Fort Lee Officers’ Club and on April 15, a shower w as hosted by the Petersburg Chapter of Moles, Incorporated, at the home of Mrs. Evelyn Hayes in Ettrick.

The bride hosted a luncheon for the bridal attendants at the residence of her parents on April 19.

The rehearsal dinner was given by the groom’s parents, Dr. and Mrs. Robert Lee Stokes, Sr. at the Fort Lee Officers’ Club.

The couple will live in Newport News.
