Wickens brought up the parking problem in town on July Fourth. Fisher said that he would talk to members of the Washington Fire Department about having a sign indicating that there will be parking at the fire hall.
The council approved a request made by member Evelyn Willis to use $25 or less to plant the flower pot in the middle of town. Miller said that some of the street signs on people’s houses in town have been painted over, and he will ask for permission from homeowners to re-paint the signs.,
Wickens was asked to look into having an ordinance drafted that would prevent helicopter landings in town except for medical helicopters and in emergencies. A helicopter has reportedly been landing periodically in the town. The ordinance will make any non-emergency landing a criminal misdemeanor.
