Keep combustible materials (clothing, curtains, paper, etc.) away from lamps or heating devices. After ironing clothes, be sure the iron is unplugged (not just turned off) when you leave it. Never turn on an appliance while standing on a wet floor and don’t put any electrical parts in water. Electricity and water is a hazardous combination. For the same reason, don’t use an electric lawn mower or portable electric tools in damp or wet weather. Never erect TV or CB antennas where they can accidently fall across electric lines. A fatality could result.
