Once again local audiences are in store for a surprising variety and exciting quality of performances in the 1985 Talent Showcase, sponsored by RAAC on Saturday, June 29 at the Gay St. Theater. Beth Levik’s dynamic choral group, “The Eclectics” will perform their traditional complex harmonies on both familiar and unfamiliar tunes. Dancer Angie Howard, the 17 year old Jeffersonton resident who teaches area children and adults, will tap, jazz and ballet in the program. A band of recorder and vocal music, known as ‘Tasttimes” with Lois Manookian, Linda Dietel, Lorraine Resting and Cindy Andriani, will play medieval music. The Talent Showcase also features a dramatic/musical skit with singer Linda Gentry and her six year old daughter, Sarah Jean; the extraordinary moves of Herbert Shanks; original poetry and singing by Melanie and Holly Moffett; the blues and gospel guitar of David Clannigan plus a host of surprises. Wild and wonderful Steve Hostetter will host the evening.
Admission to the Showcase is $3 for students and seniors, $5 for adults and $4 for RAAC members. Tickets are available at Brambles, Middle Street Gallery and the RAAC office. Proceeds from the evening will go to benefit the arts in our area through
