Graduates
Bonnie Pennington Williams, was graduated cum laude from Shenandoah College and Conservatory in commencement exercises April 28. She received a bachelor of music education degree.
Williams, a graduate of Fauquier High School, was named to the Dean’s List of honor students for the spring semester at Shenandoah.
In order to be named to the Dean’s List, a student must be enrolled fulltime and must carry a minimum of 12 semester hours, or more of course work. The grade point average must be 3.25, or above, with no grade lower than a‘C.’
Mrs. Williams’ major field of study was organ and she studied with Dr. Steven Cooksey. She did her practice teaching at Wakefield School with Mrs. Gloria Harris and Fauquier High School with Mrs. Mary Lu Hartsell.
Shenandoah is a four-year, co-educational college and conservatory of music affiliated with the United Methodist Church. Approximately 930 students were enrolled in the college for the 1984-85 academic year.
Shenandoah awards bachelors degrees in over 38 areas of study in the liberal arts, music, allied health (nursing and respiratory therapy), and business administration.
Mrs. Williams resides in Flint Hill with her husband, Tommy and children, Gregory and Mary Beth.
