Craft Show
This Weekend
The Sperryville Antique Market will host a craft show Saturday and Sunday, June 22 and 23. The doors open at 9 a.m. both days and close at 6 p.m. The site is on Route 1003 in Sperryville off Route 211.
Peggy and Arthur Smith, owners of the Antique Market, are calling the weekend a festive country craft show during which at least 25 local artisans will demonstrate skills such as glassblowing, tinsmithing, craft painting, doll-making, woodworking, lampshade piercing, and needlework. In addition, the Market’s permanent dealers will sell vintage clothing, country and English period furniture and a full range of collectibles.
“The Country Roundup,” a local “move-your-feet and clap-yourhands” music group, will entertain visitors to the Antique Market on both days. Also, The Little Italian Bakery will have on sale freshlybaked bread as well as homemade sandwiches.
