Mr. and Mrs. James Stanley entertained with a birthday party for their son, Jeremy at their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Randolph Jenkins’ cabin. Others present were Angie Stanley, Mr. and Mrs. D.E. Yowell, Mr. and Mrs. William Coppedge, Mr. and Mrs. Randy Jenkins, Katy and Ryan, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Yowell and Lea Anna, Mrs. Martha Jenkins, Lynwood Jenkins, Mrs. Bobby Tucker and Jean Gallihugh. A lovely buffet meal and socializing were enjoyed by all.
Mr. and Mrs. Andy Aylor of Etlan and Mrs. Homer Jenkins visit Homer Jenkins frequently. He remains about the same.

Mr. and Mrs. Jimmie Hawkins of Calverton announce the engagement of their daughter, Yvonne to John J. Laurence of Raymond, New Hampshire, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard J. Laurence of Ipswich, Massachusetts.
The wedding will take place August 3 abroad the Yacht, “Cruise Power” off the coast of Massachusetts.
Yvonne is the granddaughter of Clarence Whorton of Washington and Otis Hawkins of Woodville.
