Most lathers in the area spent a nice, quiet Father’s Day home with their families this year. But not Richard Schoppet’s family-no wayRichard and Nancy hosted a Father’s Bar-B-Q celebration, and the following relatives joined them in the festivities: Richard’s parents of Warren County, Charles and Dottie Schoppet; Nancy’s parents of Warren County, Smitty and Marie Smith; Richard’s brother and his wife of Loudoun County, Charlie and Eve Schoppet; daughter Laurie Schoppet and her one and only, Mike Schlein, both of Warren County; and son, Tommy Schoppet, who’s on his way to the 8th grade at Rappahannock County High School this year.
Plenty of chewing and crunching of edible delights were visible, a great deal of verbalizing took place, and believe it or not, and much to their surprise, all the fathers received a pair of shoes in various sizes, shapes, colors and patterns.
