Craft Show This Weekend At

Sperryville Antique Market

The Sperryville Antique Market will sponsor its second craft show of the season on Saturday and Sunday, June 22 and 23 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. There will be ongoing demonstrations and a live country band throughout the weekend. For additional information call 703-987-8050 or 987-8180.

Diet Class Changes Time At

Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church

A Diet Watchers (formerly Conway Diet) class under the direction of Carol Campbell is held at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church every Tuesday at 10 a.m. The class was orginially scheduled for 2 p.m. For additional information or registration call 703-825-6836. Any former members of Diet Watchers who are interested in joining are welcome and new members are always invited.

4-H Day and Overnight Camp Schedules

4-H Day camp will be held at Camp Hazel River in Boston July 8-12. The cost is $5 for the week for 4-H’ers and $1 for teen leaders. Bus service will be provided at no extra charge. The deadline for registration is June 28. No applications will be accepted after that date!

Seniors’ 4-H camp at the Northern Virginia 4-H Educational Center near Front Royal will be July 12-14. The Seniors’ 4-H camp is for persons 55 years of age or older. The cost is $40 per person which includes five meals, two nights of lodging and most program materials.

4-H Junior camp will be held July 15-19 at the Northern Virginia 4H Educational Center for 4th, 5th and 6th graders. The cost is $55 and deadline for registration is June 28.

Bawkey Family Reunion

The annual reunion of the late William and Fannie Bawkey will be held Sunday, June 23 at 12 noon at Rappahannock Park near Washington. All relatives and friends are invited to attend and asked to bring a picnic lunch.

Special Services At Beech Spring Church

The Beech Spring Baptist Church in Sperryville will have special weekend services on Friday and Saturday, June 28 and 29 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday morning, June 30 at 11 a.m. with “dinner on the grounds” following. Addison and Mary ^ee Marrow, Baptist missionaries from Kempa, East Africa will be the speakers and will be showing slides at the two night meetings. Everyone is welcome.

Ole Hollow Reunion

Families, friends and community members are invited to attend the annual Ole Hollow reunion on Sunday, June 23 at 1 p.m. at Thornton’s Gap Regular Baptist Church near Sperryville. Those attending are asked to bring a covered dish and a beverage.
