Mrs. Jimmy Thornton and daughters, Betsy and Ann, of Gate City, were overnight guests last Wednesday of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Brown.

Mrs. Dennis Wingfield is spending this.week in Harrisonburg with her mother, Mrs. Catherine Taylor, who is recovering from surgery.

Julian Brown, his mother, Mrs. Catherine Brown, Mrs. Mary Quaintance and Mrs. H.B. Wood, Jr., of Woodvilk, Attended homecoming at Willis Chapel in Huntly on Sunday where the Rev. Jerry Campbell, of Virginia Beach, was the guest speaker.

Dinner guests Sunday of Mrs. Ethel Tyner and Miss Nellie Atkins were Mr. and Mrs. David Tyner and James Blogett, of Palmyra, Mrs. Norma Green and Jimmy Blogett, of Culpeper, Mrs. Lois Frazier and Frances Leake, of Warrenton.

Mr. and Mrs. J. Rodes Brown, Jr., of Tazewell, spent several days last week with Mrs. Frances Thornton. Her weekend guests were Mrs. and Mrs. Paul Thompson, of Fork Union, and their grandson, Mark Savage, of Charlottesville. They had luncheon Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Brown.

Mr. and Mrs. William Cloe, Jr. and daughter, Beth, of Stafford, spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. T.J. Pillar to Ctelebrate Mr. Pillar’s birthday.
