Monday’s hearing
In the same spirit of speak out now while the chance is available, we remind our readers of a public hearing scheduled Monday at 7:30 p.m. at the Rappahannock County Elementary School auditorium.
The subject of that hearing—the possible adoption of a revised county-wide zoning ordinance — is of great concern to nearly every Rappahannock landowner.
A copy of that ordinance is available for reading in the county clerk’s office; one is on sale at cost in the county treasurer’s office.
We urge those with something to say, those with a suggestion, to come out Monday night and speak that message.
The county’s supervisors will be on hand to hear public input before voting on the adoption of that ordinance. That vote must, by law, be taken in a meeting open to the public.
But the time to speak out is at hand, at Monday’s hearing.
