Faith Mountain Country Fare of Sperryville, owned and operated by Martin and Cherri Woodard, was one of 12 exhibitors at “An Afternoon in the Country,” a benefit for wildflower research.

The benefit for Lady Bird Johnson’s National Wildflower Research Center near Austin included guests Gov. Robb, Sen. John Warner, Transportation Secretary Elizabeth Dole and Luci Johnson, was held at Willow Oaks, the home of former Gov. and Mrs. Averell Harriman located just outside Middleburg.

One of West Germany’s two television networks will be in Rappahannock County Saturday filming a segment for an ongoing series, “Pictures of America.”

The national news network will be filming in and around Washington for part of its series, which airs every two months in the European nation.
