Garden club news

The Rappahannock County Garden Club met Wednesday, January 15 at “Stoneledge” the home of Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Mank. Hostesses were Mrs. Mank, Mrs. Maurice Herndon and Mrs. Henry C. Sutherland.
Guest speaker was Mr. Mason Hutcheson, Extension Agent from Culpeper County. Mr. Mason gave an interesting and informative program on “The When, Where and Whys of Pruning. ”
Member Exhibit, “Winter Green” was a small arrangement, using clippings from houseplants, not exceeding eight inches in all directions. There were two classes, one with flowers, one without. Ribbons were awarded to:
Mrs. Eino Siisa, blue, Mrs. Joseph Nordone, red, Mrs. Dale Metzinger, yellow and Mrs. Chester Fannon, Sr., white.
All green arrangements:
Mrs. Jack Brown, blue and Mrs. C. W. Fannnon, Jr., red.
