The Bible declares that Jesus will be P returning soon to gather all those who trust L and believe in him and have accepted him y as their Saviour and Lord. We know the P time is approaching according to the signs l of the times, (Read Matt. chap. 24 & 2 Tim. • 3:1-5) we do not know the hour when He » shall come again so until that time we P must learn to live successfully here as a • child of God. f In Luke chap. 6 vs. 46-49, we see the f story Jesus told about the two men who E built a house. The man that dug deep and p laid a foundation on a rock was likened f unto one that heard the sayings of Jesus P and did them and when the flood arose t and beat heavily upon the house it could f not be shaken. But the man that laid no »foundation for his house is likened unto r one that hears God's word and does not p do it, when the flood arose the house was a destroyed. r As Christians, trials and trouble or we p could say floods and storms will come in a our lives, these troubles come from Satan r (read John 10:10) (Jesus is the giver of E life, not the taker). a In Eph. 6:13 the Bible tells us to put on f the whole armor of God that you may be P able to withstand in the evil day - the folp lowing verses in Eph. 6 tell us what God's f armor is. P We need to be so equipped with God's i word in our heart, when trials or storms f come in our lives we can be able to pass p through the midst of them without a \ scratch! Remember the Hebrew children p in the fiery furnace? They were cast into (•the furnace; but because they knew God
Jand trusted him and obeyed his sayings, Jchap. 3 of Daniel and vs. 27 says the fire • had no power over them, their hair was not • singed, their clothes were not burned, neither
the smell of smoke was on them!
