Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. John Barbour, Sr., who celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary at their home on Tuesday, January 21.

The Barbours’ oldest son, John Barbour, Jr., and his family couldn’t be with his parents for the happy occasion, so he sent a gift of fresh salmon and giant king crab legs from his home in Anchorage, Alaska, for the anniversary dinner.

Guests who attended the celebration were Mr. and Mrs. Edward Bailey III and children, Laytoa and Mark, of Culpeper, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Ford and son, Jeremy, of Winchester, Mr. and Mrs. David Gaskins of Jeffersonton, Mrs. Joan Barbour, Ted Barbour and Mr. and Mrs. James Freeman and sons, Dexter and Jimmie.

The Barbours received lots of special cards and phone calls of good wishes and a very special card from their pastor R. W. Grant of Marshall and his family.

The Barbours have four children, 13 grandchildren and eight greatgrandchildren. Happy anniversary to them, and many more to come!

Mr. and Mrs. Steve Lockhart of Front Royal visited Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Campbell Wednesday. The Campbells’ son Danny of Front Royal was their guest Friday.

Mrs. Charles Burke was a guest of her son and daughter-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Ashton Burke in Warrenton on Thursday. They had dinner at Ben and Mary’s Steak House.

Saturday luncheon guests of Mr. and Mrs. John Clark, Jr., Amanda and Stacy were Mrs. Sally Morgan and daughter, Lanie.

Dr. and Mrs. John Turner of Waterloo Farm, Warrenton, were dinner guests of his mother Mrs. L. J. Turner at the Comer Post Restaurant in Flint Hill on Friday night.

Mrs. Silas O’Bannon of Warrenton visited Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Keyser at The Oaks Friday.

Sunday callers of Mrs. Addie Keyser and Mrs. Virginia Cloud were Donald Keyser and Athey Sisk of Alexandria. Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Keyser of Winchester were guests Mopday of Mrs. Keyser.

The Rev. John Burke, pastor of Gid Brown Bible Baptist Church, is a patient at Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton.

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Blevins and children, Heather, Scott and Chris, spent the weekend in Arrington as guests of Mr. and Mrs. Monte Blevins and family.

Mr. and Mrs. John Clark, Jr., and son Stacy entertained at a birthday party Sunday afternoon for their daughter and sister Amanda’s fifth birthday. Guests for the happy occasion were Mr. and Mrs. Ralph
