Not such
a bad year

The annualists, the persons who evaluate years, are giving 1985 rather bad marks, marking it as a year of earthquakes, terrorism, famine, airplane crashes and other natural and man-made catastrophes. I agree with their judgement on the overall picture, but take consolation . in some minor changes.
At the beginning of 19851 made a list of ten persons, in some cases, pairs of persons, whose problems and personality difficulties should or would fade from the news.
Number one on my list was the case of Mary Cunningham and Bill Agee of the Bendix Corporation, a story of love and ambition in the world of corporate mergers and conglomerates.
