Anniversary celebration

The 26th district council Order of the Eastern Star’s P.H.A. will celebrate their 18th anniversary at the Quality Inn in Front Royal on March 22 at noon. Guest speaker will be past master, Robert G. Davis of Clifton Forge. Admission is $15. Rachael Aylor is chairperson.

EMS classes to be held

The Culpeper County Volunteer Rescue Squad and the Rappahannock Rapidan_EMS Council Office will sponsor an Emergency Medical Technician course beginning February 6 at 7 p.m.

Classes will meet every Monday and Thursday from 7 p.m. tb 10 p.m. in the classroom at Culpeper Memorial Hospital, and are open to the public. The instructor will be Skip Wolfford. There will be a fee for text books and materials needed for the class.

Registration and further information may be obtained by calling the EMS office at 825-6849 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Registration will also be taken for an EVOC course beginning February 14 at 7 p.m. at the Culpeper Fire/Rescue building. The remaining portion of the course will be given Saturday or Sunday (your choice), February 15 or 16. Instructor will be J. Russell Teel of the Marshall Rescue Squad.

Choral rehearsals

Lois Shanks, music director ofthe Culpeper-Piedmont Choral Society, announces rehearsals for its annual spring concert will begin Monday, February 3, at 7:45 p.m. at the Culpeper Presbyterian Church, 215 S. Main St. All new men and women will be considered who are familiar with reading four-part choral music; however, basses and tenors are particularly needed. Featured work for the May concert will be the Faure “Requiem” and lighter music will be sung as well.
