Basic computers
course at LFCC
A noncredit course, Introduction to Computers, will be offered at Lord Fairfax Community college Aug. 31 through Sept. 3 at 7 p.m. The fee for the course is $25.
This course is designed for those whose work involves the use of an IBM personal computer or compatible but could be of interest to those contemplating the purchase or use of a similar system.
The topics for each of the four evenings include: DOS (Disk Operating System), Spread Sheets, Word Processing, and Data Base Management.
Upon successful completion of the course, students should feel comfortable about purchasing and operating any of the four types of software.
The course will be taught by John O’Neill, the director of finance for the Town of Front Royal. Mr. O’Neill has several years experience with the purchase, installation, and training for small computer systems with the town and the U.S Treasury Department.
