The first day of school is perhaps one of the most critical in the life of a child. A child’s future attitude toward school is established on this first day.
Parents play an important role in helping their child to develop selfconfidence and a good self-image Equally important is helping the child to develop good feelings toward parents, authority figures, and relationships toward other children.
Giving young people lots of love, understanding and support will go a long way toward making school a very positive experience. This marks the beginning of a child’s world that parents cannot fully share. Parents cannot always supply all of the answers, nor can they protect a child from the difficulties, quarrels, frustrations and disappointments that arise at school from time to time.
