A suit filed last month in Fauquier County Circuit Court will have important ramifications for Rappahannock County’s zoning ordinance.
Jerry C. Faircloth of Stafford was denied permission to put a double-wide mobile home on a nine-acre parcel of land he owns near Bristersburg in southern Fauquier County. Fauquier, like Rappahannock, restricts mobile homes used as permanent residences to one site. In Fauquier, it is the 319-unit Marsh Run Mobile Home Park on Rt. 17 near Bealeton. Rappahannock’s one mobile home park is on Rt. 211 in Amissville.
