The highlight of the Piedmont Environmental Council’s annual meeting, to be held Saturday, Sept. 12, at Mrs. Vinton Pickens’ Janelia Farm, will be the presentation of the organization’s community service award to Loudoun County’s first lady of planning and zoning.
While Mrs. Pickens found a way to manage the inevitable development coming to her 288 acres, most of Virginia is still looking. PEC’s agenda for the annual meeting focuses on that quest:
